Senior P401 Asbestos Analyst

BELFAST Microbiology and Asbestos Laboratory

Our UKAS accredited laboratory in Belfast specialises in microbiological and asbestos analysis. We have a position available within the Asbestos Team for a Senior P401 qualified Asbestos Analyst.

Senior P401 Asbestos Analyst
Annual Salary: £22,000 to £24,000 (dependent upon relevant qualifications and work experience)
Permanent with 3 month Probation Period – Full time position

The role involves undertaking analysis in a wide range of materials for asbestos, entering accurate and timely results onto the Company LIMS system and developing UKAS accredited quantification methods. Other duties will include processing samples and data in accordance with our Quality Management Systems, maintaining the analytical instrumentation, supervising the performance, training and development of staff to ensure the team achieves daily business objectives.

Successful candidates must have P401 qualification (Identification of Asbestos in Bulk Samples – PLM), with proven analytical experience and knowledge of asbestos analysis. Environmental industry experience would be an advantage. Candidates will be conversant with working in a fast paced environment, have good attention to detail, be PC literate and have strong communication and organisational skills with an aptitude for working in a scientific field.

P401 Asbestos Analyst/Trainee

LIVERPOOL Asbestos Laboratory

Our UKAS accredited laboratory in Liverpool specialises in asbestos analysis. We have a position available within the Asbestos Team for a P401 qualified Asbestos Analyst or Trainee P401 Asbestos Analyst.

The role involves undertaking analysis in a wide range of materials for asbestos, entering accurate and timely results onto the Company LIMS system and developing UKAS accredited quantification methods. Other duties will include processing samples and data in accordance with our Quality Management Systems, maintaining the analytical instrumentation as well as other associated support tasks.

P401 Asbestos Analyst
Annual Salary: £16,000 to £20,000 (dependent upon relevant qualifications and work experience)
Permanent with 3 month Probation Period – Full time position

Permanent with 6-12 month Probation Period – Full time position

The role will involve learning, training and working toward the recognised P401 Asbestos Bulk Identification Certificate, offering the opportunity for internal and external training culminating in a recognised industry qualification. The successful candidate will be educated to a minimum of A-Level standard (grade C and above) in science subjects and/or mathematics. Candidates will be conversant with working in a fast paced environment, have good attention to detail, be PC literate and have strong communication and organisational skills.

Organics Division – Analyst or Laboratory Technician

Permanent with a 3 month probation period
Depot Road, Newmarket

We have a position available within the Organics Division for an Analyst or Laboratory Technician, dependent upon relevant qualifications and work experience.

Analyst – £18,880 to £22,540

This role involves processing samples and data in accordance with our Quality Management Systems, maintaining the analytical instrumentation and equipment, entering accurate and timely results onto the Company LIMS system and conducting sample preparation as required. The successful candidate will be degree level qualified in a relevant subject, with proven analytical experience.

Laboratory Technician – £15,750

This role undertakes a range of duties which includes preparing samples, running instrumentation for sample testing, assisting in the maintenance of analytical instrumentation and other associated support tasks. The successful candidate will be educated to a minimum of A-Level or equivalent (grade C and above) in science subjects and/or mathematics.

The successful candidate will be conversant with working in a fast paced environment, have good attention to detail, be PC literate, have strong organisational skills and have an aptitude for working within a scientific field.
