Trainee Asbestos Analyst


Salary £14,600 per annum
6 month training probation period with a view to a permanent position
Star Industrial Park, Coventry

This role will involve undertaking analysis in a wide range of materials for asbestos, entering accurate and timely results onto the Company LIMS system, assisting with method development, assisting with the maintenance of analytical instrumentation and other associated support tasks. The role will also involve learning, training and working toward the recognised P401 Asbestos Bulk Identification Certificate.

The successful candidate will be educated to a minimum of A-Level standard (grade C and above) in science subjects and/or mathematics.  Candidates will be conversant with working in a fast paced environment, have good attention to detail, be PC literate and have strong communication and organisational skills.

Inorganics Division – Senior Analyst


£22,540 – £23,190 per annum
Permanent with a 3 month probation period
Depot Road, Newmarket

We have a position available within the Inorganics Division for a Senior Analyst, dependent upon relevant qualifications and work experience.

In addition to processing samples to generate accurate and timely data, the main duties of this role are to assist in the maintenance of the Quality Management System as well as organise Analysts and Laboratory Technicians to ensure the team achieves daily business objectives. The successful candidate will be degree level qualified or equivalent in a relevant scientific subject, with proven Environmental analytical experience and knowledge of ICP-MS and HPLC.

The successful candidates will be conversant with working in a fast paced environment, have good attention to detail, be PC literate, have strong organisational and leadership skills.

P401 Asbestos Analysts


£15,000 – £20,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Permanent with a 3 month probation period
Belfast, Coventry & Liverpool

This role involves undertaking analysis in a wide range of materials for asbestos, entering accurate and timely results onto the Company LIMS system and developing UKAS accredited quantification methods. Other duties will include processing samples and data in accordance with our Quality Management Systems, maintaining the analytical instrumentation as well as other associated support tasks.

Successful candidates must have P401 qualification (Identification of Asbestos in Bulk Samples – PLM), with relevant analytical experience and knowledge of asbestos analysis. Environmental industry experience would be an advantage. Candidates will be conversant with working in a fast paced environment, have good attention to detail, be PC literate and have strong communication and organisational skills with an aptitude for working in a scientific field.
